Public letters from Rutgers faculty and staff

Since October 7, 2023, JFAS has organized or partnered in organizing events, written open letters, and engaged other campus constituencies with a view to quelling antisemitism on campus and promoting an intellectually diverse environment in which all people feel free to express their views.

Public Letters

Over 350 Rutgers faculty and staff signed an open letter to condemn the many recent expressions of antisemitism on our campuses and call on the entire community to reject antisemitism in all its forms. The Daily Targum published the letter in its Letter to the Editor column and linked to the signatures. Read the letter at the Daily Targum site.

On behalf of JFAS, David Greenberg, Martha Greenblatt, and Cynthia Saltzman wrote a Letter to the Editor at The Daily Targum, to object to statements issued by the executive board of the Rutgers Adjunct Faculty Union and the Rutgers American Association of University Professors and the American Federation of Teachers.
